Brillante Weblog Award 2008

30 08 2008

More than two weeks ago, Tess from Japanese Kitchen, picked me as one of the 7 blogger for the Brillante Weblog Award 2008. Thank you again, Tess!

And of course getting an award makes you feel somewhat happy…sort of like great actors/actresses who won the Grammy. :) Now, my job is to pass this award to the next 7 bloggers and I decided to give it to…….

LIFE BEGINS AT 30… – This blog is written by my dear husband, Arman. Of course, I didn’t pick him because he is my husband, but all because he wrote things so nicely that they can make me have different expressions like smile, laugh, happy or even cry. I’ve always thought that he is a great writer and should actually write a novel and publish it one day. Most of all, my blog wouldn’t exist without his support.

CLUELESS FIRST-TIME PARENTS – This blog is written by my multi-talented baby sister. She started this blog when she first found out of her pregnancy. I always wanted to write the similar milestones when I was pregnant with Andrew but I wasn’t able to. I am so glad that she wrote this blog and I am sure her newly born son, Owen, will enjoy reading it when he grow up.

RANDOM SNIPPETS FROM A COLORFUL LIFE – This blog is written by the smart young doctor called Vina Revi who currently resides in Seoul-South Korea with her husband and 2 wonderful kids. A cheerful housewife who writes so beautifully of her daily life.

CERITA DARI DAPUR AMATIR – This blog is written by the talented baker called Shinta who resides in Jakarta-Indonesia. She works full time but yet still have the energy to make beautiful birthday cakes, cupcakes and cookies. I always enjoy my time visiting her website with Andrew and looking through all the beautiful pieces she made. It was all started with us ordering cupcakes and cookies for Andrew’s 2nd birthday and it continues to be a wonderful friendship.

SIMPLY ME – This blog is written by the creative Felicia who resides in Ontario-Canada. Her postings include many of her nice graphic design works. She creates beautiful photo collages of her son and husband.

SOMEONE KICK ME FROM INSIDE – This blog is written by Natali who resides in Jakarta-Indonesia, a funny young mommy who creatively makes handmade beads accessories next to her full time job.

KELUARGA NUGRAHA – This blog is written by Astri Nugraha in Australia. I passed on the Rockin’ Girl Award to her back in June and still think that she deserves another award. Here is a short paragraph that I wrote about her back in June.

“She is not only a great blogger, but also a super mommy of two adorable daughters who look just like dolls (and another one baby coming soon), a wonderful wife to her loving husband and a creative graphic designer. She puts so much attention to details as you can see on her website. She writes extremely detailed milestones for each of her daughters, documents each layout of her web since the beginning she started the site, shares tremendous yummy recipes from her kitchen and stories about her families, friends are passions. Her website is just so fun to read.”

Here are the rules (that I copied and pasted from Tess’ blog), for those who accept this award:
1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.
2. Link to the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the people you’ve nominated.

Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award

4 06 2008

Surprise….surprise….guess what, today, I was reading my WordPress Dashboard and saw an incoming link from Tess. On her blog, she awarded me the Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award. She wrote a nice paragraph about me and my blog. Thanks a lot for giving me this award, Tess!

The tradition is to pass this award to the most inspiring person and I would like to pass this award to Mbak Astri Nugraha. She is not only a great blogger, but also a super mommy of two adorable daughters who look just like dolls (and another one baby coming soon), a wonderful wife to her loving husband and a creative graphic designer. She puts so much attention to details as you can see on her website. She writes extremely detailed milestones for each of her daughters, documents each layout of her web since the beginning she started the site, shares tremendous yummy recipes from her kitchen and stories about her families, friends are passions. Her website is just so fun to read. You are rockin’, girl!
