Yesterday, after we finished part of our secret mission, we tried looking for a nearby restaurant. It was nearly 2 PM and we were starving, so we thought whichever restaurant we can find and is open, we will walk right into it. After we parked our car, we found this place, Mr. Cecil’s California Ribs, who seemed to be the only open at that time, the rest of 3 other restaurants on the same street were closed.
So we walked into the restaurant and was seated by the host. Looked at the menu and decided that we would ordered the ribs and chicken combo $24.50 and buffalo wings $6.95. The ribs and chicken combo comes with a choice of 2 sides (such as beans, coleslaw, cornbread, french fries-with additional $1 substitution charge, etc). We decided to order french fries for both 2 sides. We spent a total of $39.91 including tax and tips.
I personally never like ribs (whatever kind of ribs), so I only ate a small tiny bit of it and thought it was just ok. But Arman really liked it, he said, this is a very good ribs. The chicken was just ok too, the buffalo wings on the other hand is very very good. Notice that I used the word very twice. Hehehehe. Yes, I really like it, they fry it very well that the skin is slightly crispy. We choose the Ranch dipping (you get to pick ranch or blue cheese) and with the dipping, it is just a perfect buffalo wings.
This restaurant is quite big and has both outside and inside seating with a bar in the center of the room. The waitress was nice and the food came out pretty fast too. It has another branch in LA which apparently is a lot closer to where we live. I will most likely visit this restaurant again.
