Gymnastics & Fitness
5 05 2008This Spring, Arman and I decided to enroll Andrew in one of the class offered by the city of Santa Monica. It is the Gymnastics & Fitness class for Tumbling Toddlers. The age of the students in this class are from 2-3 years old. In this class, students are taught first time gymnastics skills. Motor development is enhanced through balance, climbing, hanging, tumbling, jumping and obstacle courses.
The first time Andrew went to this course, he was a little bit shy and didn’t really understand what he should be doing. It could be because of the language barrier. Luckily, after going to this class for a while now, he is starting to get more involved and seems to enjoy the class a lot more. He isn’t able to jump yet, but I can see that he is trying hard, and always say out loud the ‘jump’ word.
In this class, he also learned how to balance himself walking on a long slim piece of wood or standing in the middle of the U shape padded mattress. He is taught how to hang on a piece of metal and bring his feet up. Overall, I think this is a good type of course for toddlers, I am enjoying this class as much as he is. We will most likely enroll him in the same type of class in the future.

wah seru bgt kyknya.
dhika ikutan dong. hihihi :p
Sedari kecil dilatih buat sportif.
seru juga ya
si andrew udah ngerti bahasa inggris blom ther?
kalo di rumah kalian ngomongnya pake bhs apa?
ntar si Andrew jadi musician sekaligus atlet neh Ther, heheh…
Lentur banget badannya. Ayo Dhika ikut!
@ Tiwi: Hello Tiwi, welcome to my blog. Anakmu lucu and cantik. Iya kelas ini bagus nih.
@ Pucca: Iya Vi, seru. Andrew ngerti sih benernya dikit2 bahasa Inggris, cuma ngomongnya masih Indo. Kadang2 dia ngomong inggris, kaya ngomong five, yes, no, look, and some others.
(malu…
that will be good for children.. to have a flexible posture..
@ Leony: Iya, Ny, very similar to Gymboree sih.
@ Jonathan: Hei Jonathan, welcome to my blog. You are right, it is very good for children to have a flexible posture.
aku mau jadi pelatihnya

@ Dowdow: Iya tuh, Ko! Lucu2 emang anak2 diajarin beginian.
