Shrimp Potato

Al’s Devilled Eggs

My good friend in San Francisco, Al, likes to make this yummy Devilled Eggs. He brought them once to my Graduation BBQ Picnic at the Golden Gate Park and within a few minutes they were all gone. They are so good that I begged him to share me the recipe. Now, I don’t have to fly down to San Francisco to taste your famous Devilled Egg. Thank you, Al! Green Mung Bean Soup

I bet most of you knew of the green mung bean as a sweet dessert, cook in a syrup water or brown sugar. This time I am going to make a Green Bean Soup (tastes salty) to be eaten with rice. Restaurant Review: Sushi King

Yesterday, after the church mass, we were starving and decided to try out a new restaurant nearby the church. We passed by this restaurant called Sushi King on Wilshire Boulevard and saw there was a parking on the street/ So we parked and entered the restaurant. It is not a big restaurant, they have perhaps 6-7 tables and the sushi bar. When we got there, the restaurant was half full. Based on Limmy’s recommendation, I’ve decided to try the Look-alike Meter to find out who does Andrew look more alike to. The result is Andrew looks more like me by 8%. Yay…………………………. :)






Stuffed Tofu (Bakso Tahu Isi)

When I was living in Jakarta, this is one of the dish that I love to make. I would used about 16 - 20 pieces of firm tofu, then make the rest as meatballs. Chicken Noodle with Wonton (Mie Ayam Pangsit)

Restaurant Review: Din Tai Fung

Finally, last Saturday, we were able to go to Din Tai Fung and tasted the famous Pork Dumpling (Xiao Lung Bao). We got there around 1.30PM and waited for about 10 minutes for our table. (Note that the restaurant closes at 2.30PM before the reopen at 5PM). As we were waiting, we were asked to select our orders first. We chose the Shrimp Noodle Soup $ 7.50, Pork Dumpling $7.25 and Pork Crab Dumpling $9. We spent a total of $29.56 including tax and tips. Read the rest of this entry »
