Meatballs Soup

28 03 2008

No…no…no, I am not going to tell you how to make a meatball, because I don’t know how yet. It is something that I have to learn the next time I see my mom. She is a great fish ball maker, Andrew loves it so much. Today, I am going to show you how to make a simple meatballs soup. You can eat it with egg noodle, flat noodle, glass noodle, thin noodle, rice or simply just the soup. My brother, Luke, loves beef meatballs so much that I think he can eat 20 pieces at once. Well, I think almost everybody loves meatballs, Arman, Andrew and myself love meatballs too.

INGREDIENTS:

Meatballs and fish balls (you can always put in shrimp balls and squid balls too)

5 cups of water/chicken broth

1 tablespoon of salt

pepper

a few pinch of preserved vegetable (Tong Cai)

1 stem of scallions - cut into thin slices

cilantro leaves - if you like

INSTRUCTIONS:

Put all ingredients into a pot then boil until the meat balls are cook. Then ready to serve.

Chicken Noodle with Wonton (Mie Ayam Pangsit) « Maura Esther Tanudjaja (18:00:19) :

[...] WONTON: First put the minced pork in a large bowl, add the garlic powder, stir until well blended. Then add in the salt, tiny pieces of shrimp, fish oil and pepper. Mix all ingredients until well blended. Then using a ready to use wonton skin, put in the mix minced pork in the center of the wonton skin, fold it into a triangle. Then tie each end to make it a wonton shape. See picture above for instructions. Once then wonton is ready, put it into a boiling water, let it boils until cook and the skin is tender. Ready to eat with your chicken noodle. If you like a soup, you can see my previous recipe on Meatballs Soup. [...]
