Restaurant Review: Hop Li Seafood Restaurant

Today, after Church Mass at St. Augustine, we decided to try Hop Li Seafood Restaurant, which seems to be the most decent Chinese restaurant in our area. We arrived around 12.20pm and the parking lot was nearly full. Luckily, we got the last spot.

The restaurant is quite big. They share parking lot with a Brazilian restaurant next door. We were given a 2 pages back to back Lunch menu. Their lunch special comes with white rice, soup and fortune cookies. We ordered Steamed Fish Fillets with Ginger and Green Onion ($7.95), Pork Chop with Peking Style Flavor Sauce ($6.95) and Yang Chow Fried Rice with BBQ Pork and Shrimp ($6.95). We got to choose Hot and Sour Soup or Egg Drop Soup, Arman and I picked the Hot and Sour and we picked Egg Drop for Andrew. Be careful when you look up the menu on their website, the prices are not updated.

The Pork Chop and Fried Rice were really good. The Peking Sauce on the pork chop is just perfect. The fried rice has tasty BBQ Pork and a lot of big shrimps. The fish was not good, at least we think that this type of fillet is not suitable for steaming. It is too tender. Oh, their food comes in a really big size, we ended up not be able to finish up all the food. Basically half of what we ordered, will be our dinner tonight. We spent a total of $27 (including tax and tips). When we left, the parking area was completely full and people have to use the valet service (I’m not sure if the valet service is free or not).

We will definitely come back again, but next time, we have to size down our order.
